They also include personal hygiene covering facial, hair and body care, and household cleansing products.
Were there any items that have surprised you before?
I was surprised by the items sold at wet market. They were fresh and packed very well.
How do you find the flow of online purchase?
The online portals show items clearly with the discounts provided. I can simply select the item and add it to the cart. After checking the detail, I can checkout, select the preferred delivery time and make payment via credit card or digital wallet.
How are the features of online shopping portals?
The ease of usage is great especially for mobile portals with excellent end-to-end customer experience. Voice search is now supported for some portals. It can be done within several minutes for regular purchase.
Are you aware of the new technology used for online shopping portals?
They can know my buying pattern well. When I navigate at the portals, they can show me interested and relevant items smartly. I guessed that artificial intelligence was adopted.
How can it save your time for repeated purchase?
For daily necessities, the portals have the record of my past history. It can increase my efficiency by simply re-selecting the items for repeated purchase. I can also use those “recent search” keywords to compare different brands at a glance.
Will it take you quite a lot of time when purchasing new items?
The portals can show variety of products with detailed description. If I’ve no idea of the brands, I can sort the items based on the default options provided by some portals that can help me to make the purchase decision easier.
Do you find filtering function of some portals useful to you?
Yes. If I’ve preference of certain brand or limited budget, the filtering function can screen out the appropriate items for my selection. I did not even get the chance of knowing some of brands in the past.
What do you think of the value of customer feedback?
When reviewing the comments section from customers, I can clearly understand whether the product is value for money from different angles. It’s a good reference for avoiding items of bad quality or dishonest suppliers before the purchase.
How can you save money from online shopping?
I can effectively compare prices from different shopping portals with just few clicks. The pricing of each item can be clearly shown and the household expense can be lowered without paying much efforts in shopping around in person.
What is the attractiveness of the promotion period?
There are regular promotions or special occasions in a year and extra discounts are offered for giving back to customers. I’ll buy more and can save extra money especially for the items without expiry date.
